    I'm a vegetarian eating my way through Houston's restaurant scene and doing a lot of home cooking along the way. I was raised vegetarian and have stuck with it these past 33 years. I love animals, but wouldn't call myself an animal rights activist. I love vegan cooking, but am not vegan. I don't like fake meat, so you won't see many recipes here that call for it. I live with an omnivore who thankfully enjoys vegetarian cooking as much as I do. We know vegetarian food can be delicious and easy to make. So, as we navigate our kitchen and the local dining scene, we will rate recipes and restaurants with a carrot system. Five carrots means it's amazing and no carrots means it sucked. A restaurant will recieve no carrots if they don't have a vegetarian main dish, which is sadly something I encounter often. Join us on our journey by offering recomendations and recipe ideas. Sunday Challenge

My omnivore and I sometimes work hectic schedules and don’t have time to cook more than our standard fare for dinner during the week. We’ve perfected a few dishes we rotate most weeknights to make life easy and veggielicious. But on the weekend we can experiment. So….i’ve decided to cook a new main dish for dinner every Sunday night for one year. Sunday suppers will include recipes, photos and reviews of our delectable creations. Some will be taken from others, but we’ll also make up our own. I look forward to the culinary challenge and I hope you’ll enjoy the good eats.
